Games to Watch - Week Three (9/15)




Coweta Tigers (1-1) at Catoosa Indians (2-0)

The Catoosa Indians are looking for their first 3-0 start to a season since 2011, when they lost to Clinton in the 4A State Semifinals. Coweta won last years meeting 23-0. Last week, the Indians knocked Class 5A title contender Collinsville Cardinals. In their last 10 meetings with Class 4A teams, the Tigers are 3-7.



Carl Albert Titans (2-0) at Ardmore Tigers (2-0)

These two teams were 10 points away from meeting in last years Class 5A State Championship game. The Tigers fell to Bishop McGuinness 38-28 in the semifinals. McGuinness lost to Carl Albert for the championship. Carl Albert has won four of the last five meetings between these to teams.





Fort Gibson Tigers (1-1) at Wagoner Bulldogs (2-0)

The Bulldogs are riding a 39 game winning streak, only three wins shy of tying the state record of 42 held by the 1993-1996 Ada Cougars. In the last 15 meetings between these two teams, Wagoner leads 10-5. The Bulldogs have won the last two matchups by a combined score of 82-13. 





Haskell Haymakers (3-0) at Hulbert Riders (3-0)

What happens when a high powered offense meets a strong tough defense? This game should answer that question. The Hulbert offense comes in averaging 46 points per game, while the Haymaker defense only gives up eight points per game. The Haymakers have won the last three matchups between these teams.
