Games to Watch - Week 9 (10/27)



Booker T Washington Hornets (7-1, 4-0) at Bixby Spartans (5-3, 4-0)

The winner of this game will sit alone atop 6A-II District 2. The Spartans had a rough start to the season, losing three of their first four games. The Hornets only stumble was to West Monroe, Louisiana in week three. The Hornets enter the game scoring an average of 44 points, while their defense is only allowing and average of 15 points. The Spartans offense is putting up an average of 39 points and their defense is giving up an average of 25 points. In the last 10 meetings between these two teams, the Hornets have a 6-4 edge.



Beggs Demons (7-1, 4-0) at Bristow Purple Pirates (7-1, 4-0)

These two teams are currently in a tie for first place in District 3A-6. The Demons loss came in the second game of the season to 3A’s top team Berryhill. The Purple Pirates loss came on opening night to 2A power Victory Christian. Beggs enters this contest scoring an average of 44 points per game. The Demons have scored at least 40 points in six of their eight games this season. Bristow has only allowed one team this season to score at least 40 points on them.



Sperry Pirates (7-1, 4-0) at Berryhill Chiefs (8-0, 4-0)

This will be a battle for first place in District 3A-5. This will be a matchup of two high scoring offenses and two tough defenses. The Chiefs enter the game scoring an average of 44 points and allowing only nine points per game. The Pirates’ offense averages 41 points and their defense gives up an average of 14 points. The Chiefs have owned this series as of late, winning seven of the last eight meetings.
